Jasia Reichardt was Director of the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), London, UK. In 1968 she organised a seminal exhibition, Cybernetic Serendipity, and published a book of the same name. This extract is taken from the later book, published in 1971, and is a reflection on what she considers an important new international art movement: computer art.
