Works 1970 - 1975

Large, geometric drawings on paper typified my early work. The physical problems of dealing with huge paper works gave way to more painterly works on canvas. These works were created with a ruling pen and drafting machine. Although they were made by hand, the visual content of the pictures were very evocative of technological themes. I was fascinated by the visual geometries of chips, circuit boards and electronic devices.
