1992 In 1992 I returned to Europe after being away for four years. It gave me a completely rejuvenated eye for composition. Riding the train all night from Hanover, Germany to awake in Paris, France was pure adventure. Being in a new place without any pre-conceived notion, opened the path to new sensations. It was indeed, so exciting to reside in the middle of the city, and take in the daily life as well as absorbing all the cultural institutions. The works in this series depict the influence of travel, from the long lasting summer equinox of Scotland to the magnificent architecture of Paris. From my perspective, an "openness" in my head resulted in open spaces in the work. The element of humor is ever present adding yet another dimension that exists in the philosophical realm.
