Manfred Mohr (Germany / US) b 1938

Manfred Mohr started as an action painter and jazz musician, turning to the computer to realise his growing artistic interest in Constructivist artforms. He had a Paris studio between 1963 - 1983, and has lived and worked in New York since 1981. His early computer work was a natural transition from his paintings, and retained a strong musical influence in the use of rhythm and repetition. This exploration gradually gave way to a consistent series of work leading up to the present day and involving fractured projections of n-dimensional hypercubes. Mohr's work has been exhibited widely and is found in many public and private collections.
