James FAURE WALKER |
Practice
This is an archive of the Digital Art Museum for historical reference. |
As the above image of Faure Walker's studio shows, his practice involves all the traditional trappings of the artist's workplace. Faure Walker uses the computer alongside paint and collage techniques, augmented with a digital camera and scanner. For many years he has chosen to use Fractal Design's Painter programme with its extended range of digital brushes, canvases and paint effects. His chosen output is to giclee Iris Print, though he still executes paintings in oil on canvas alongside his digital work. Faure Walker has provided us with an unusually detailed account of his working methods in the extended Artists Statement section.
